How Do I Extract Kernel32.dll From Windows 98?
1. Open the 'Start' menu and click on 'Run.' Type 'sfc' and press 'Enter.'
2. Select 'Extract One File From Installation Disk' and input 'c:\windows\system\kernel32.dll' in the 'Specify the System File You Would Like to Restore' dialog box.
3. Click 'Start' and then choose 'Browse' next to the 'Restore From' area. Browse to 'C:\Cabs' for an OEM version of Windows 98. Insert the CD-ROM and browse to 'D:\Win98' if you have a retail version of the software.
4. Select 'OK' and follow the onscreen instructions. Extract the Kernel32.dll file from the CAB file named 'Win98_33.cab.'
