Dell Dimension B110 Error Messages

Symptoms
Your computer may display an error message when you try to open an application or run several programs at the same time. Inserting a disc into a drive, attempting to save or rename a file or simply turning on the computer may generate error messages. Errors typically occur as a reaction to some action, such as after you press a key or button on your computer.
Types
A computer can return a variety of error messages, including common ones warning that a required .DLL file was not found, a filename could not be saved, a drive letter isn't available or a device is not ready. A “non-system disk” error or low memory warning may also occur. In some cases, you may be prompted to insert bootable media, although a disk is already inserted in the drive.
Solutions
Name or rename your files without using special characters that often cause problems, such as the backslash (“\”), forward slash (“/”), asterisk, colon, less-than ('
') signs, the em dash ('—') and the vertical line or pipe (“|”).Click the 'Start' button to begin the process of removing and reinstalling a program if a .DLL error message appears. Click 'Control Panel' and select 'Add or Remove Programs.' Navigate to the program you want to uninstall and click 'Uninstall.'Reinsert the disc into the drive to correct an error reporting that a device or drive is not ready or available. Place a bootable CD or floppy disk into the appropriate drive if you are prompted to insert bootable media.Remove the disc from your computer if a 'non-system disk error' is reported. Restart the computer, and once it has fully booted, reinsert the disc into the drive.Close open programs that you aren’t using if an “insufficient memory” error occurs. Restart your computer if the error continues and only open the programs you want to use.
Warnings/Considerations
Contact Dell if you receive an error message stating that the operating system cannot be found. This is a serious error that may be indicative of a problem with the system BIOS, which is your computer's brain. The BIOS controls how disk drives and other hardware connected to the computer operate, as well as the display and serial connections. Dell may have a BIOS update available for your computer.
