How to Save a Wireless Key in Windows 7
Connect Automatically
1. Click the wireless icon from the Windows 7 system tray. This icon looks like five progressively larger bars. If you don't see this icon, click the arrow to the immediate left of the system tray.
2. Click the name of the wireless network to which you wish to connect.
3. Check 'Connect automatically' and click 'Connect.'
4. Enter the security key in the prompt and press 'OK.' The security key is then stored on your Windows 7 computer.
Checking Your Settings
5. Click the Windows orb; type 'manage wireless networks' in the search box and click 'Manage wireless networks' from the search results.
6. Right-click the name of the wireless network you wish to check and click 'Properties.'
7. Click the 'Security' tab in the 'Properties' window.
8. Check 'Show characters' to display the network security key.
9. Type a new security key, if you need to change it, and click 'OK.'
