How to Mount a Disk Image in Windows 7

1. Download a free ISO burning/mounting application. Popular ISO programs include applications such as DAEMON Tools Lite, ISODisk and MagicISO (see Resources).
2. Browse to the folder where you saved the ISO burning/mounting application and double-click the executable file to launch the installer. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the application onto your computer. Restart the computer if prompted to do so.
3. Double-click 'Computer' on the Windows 7 desktop and browse to the folder that contains the ISO image file that you want to mount.
4. Right-click on the ISO image file and scroll-down to the name of the ISO application you downloaded. Click on the 'Mount' option on the pop-up menu that appears.
5. Wait for the ISO application to mount the image file and assign a new drive letter.
6. Refresh the 'Computer' window by pressing the 'F5' key. Double-click on the new virtual CD/DVD drive created by the ISO application. Browse the virtual drive, copy files or folders from the image file or run executable programs from the virtual disk.
