How to Get Windows 7 to Play GIFs

1. Click 'Start' and select 'Control Panel.'
2. Click the 'Programs' link in the Control Panel window, then click 'Make a File Type Always Open in a Specific Program' under 'Default Programs.'
3. Scroll down in the list of file types and click the '.gif' file type.
4. Click the 'Change Program' button.
5. Select Internet Explorer, a different installed Web browser or a third-party image viewing program. Click the 'Browse' button to browse for a different program if it doesn't appear in the list.
6. Click 'OK' after clicking the program in which you want to open GIFs and click 'Close.'
