How to Fix Windows Clock Problems
1. Move your cursor to the 'Start' icon on the lower left-hand side of the Windows desktop. In Windows Vista or Windows 7, the 'Start' icon will be a Windows logo. In earlier versions, the icon is a button that says 'Start.' Click on this icon.
2. Click on the 'Settings' menu if you are using Windows 2000 or an earlier version of Windows and then click on 'Control Panel.' If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, there is no 'Settings' option. Simply click on 'Control Panel,' which is near the bottom of the 'Start' menu on the right-hand side of the window.
3. Make sure the new window that opens is in 'Classic Mode' if you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 by clicking on 'Classic View' in the upper left-hand corner of the the window. If using an earlier version of Windows, the window will automatically open in Classic View.
4. Find the icon that is entitled 'Date and Time' and click on it. These icons are listed in alphabetical order, so the 'Date and Time' icon should be listed in the first couple of rows.
5. Click on the 'Date and Time' tab when the 'Date and Time' window opens. Click on the button that says 'Change Date and Time.' Enter in the proper time into the clock that appears and select 'OK.' You have now fixed any problems you may have had with the clock displaying the wrong time.
