How to Disable TCP/IP Properties Regedit
1. Open the Windows registry editor by pressing and holding the 'Windows' key while pressing R on your keyboard
2. Type 'regedit' in the run dialog and press Enter
3. Navigate to the appropriate place in the resource key for effecting IPv4 settings; namely, 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip4\Parameters.'
4. Right-click on the right side of the registry editor window and select 'New' from the menu followed by 'DWORD (32-bit) Value'
5. Rename the new entry to 'DisabledComponents' and then double-click on it to open the value editor where you will assign a value of FF and click the the 'Hexadecimal' value checkbox
6. Disable IPv6 by navigating to the appropriate place in the resource tree; namely, 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters.'
7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for under the IPv6 parameters registry pane to add 'DisabledComponents' and assign a value of FF hexadecimal.
8. Restart your system to have the new settings take effect.
