What to Do About an Unknown System32 DLL Error?

System32
System32 is a Windows directory created by Microsoft. Often, DLL error messages will include the System32 directory because many system files used to run programs are stored in this directory.
Fix
If you know the specific DLL that is causing the problem, you can reinstall the DLL. If the specific DLL is unknown, try running Windows Update (Click 'Start,' 'All Programs,' 'Windows Update'). Windows update will fix common errors, including DLL errors. If this does not work, consider running a third-party registry cleaner, such as RegCure. A third-party registry cleaner will fix corrupted DLLs and install missing DLLs.
Cause
DLL errors generally appear because a DLL file is missing or corrupt. This may be the result of a recently installed program that overwrote a DLL or a computer virus that corrupted or removed a DLL.
