What DLL Files Are Needed for Bootfighter Windom?

d3dx9_32.dll
If you get an error message stating that the application could not start due to 'd3dx9_32.dll' not being found, you will need to download the file from the Internet. You can download this file for free from dll-files.com (see 'Resources'). Just copy the file to the same folder where you installed the game to get it to work.
MSVCR71.dll
The 'msvcr71.dll' normally comes with the DirectX9 installation, which is freely available from the Microsoft website (see 'Resources'). If the game reports that the file is missing, you can download it from driverskit.com (see 'Resources'). Copy this file to 'C:\Windows\System32,' substituting the 'C:/' for whichever drive you have your copy of Windows installed on. You might also have to 'register' the file by opening up the command prompt and typing 'regsvr32 msvcr71.dll' without the quotation marks. To open the command prompt, click on the 'Start' button and select 'Search Programs and Files.' Type in 'CMD' and press 'Enter.'
MSVCP71.dll
The 'MSVCP71.dll' is another file that is normally installed when you update your version of DirectX to 9.0c. The latest version of DirectX is freely available from the Microsoft website (see 'Resources'), but the standalone dll file can be downloaded from dldump.com (see 'Resources'). Copy the file to the 'system32' folder located inside your 'Windows' folder. If this does not work, you may need to register the file by opening the command prompt and typing 'regsvr32 msvcp71.dll' without the quotation marks. To open the command prompt, click on the 'Start' button and select 'Search Programs and Files.' Type in 'CMD' and press 'Enter.'
