How to Install Windows When a Disk Read Error Occurred

1. Remove the CD from the drive and wipe off all dust and grime on its surface with your soft cloth. Try the installation again and see if that resolves the issue.
2. Insert the CD into a different drive on your system if possible.
3. Shut down your computer and unplug it. Remove the screws at the rear of the case and remove the side panel. Unscrew and remove all PCI cards from the case and unplug everything from the motherboard except your optical drive and a single hard drive.
4. Attempt the installation a final time.
