How to Get an Ubuntu Computer Onto a Windows Domain

1. Launch the Synaptic Package Manager and download a program called 'Likewise.' To do this, click 'System' and then 'Administrator' on your desktop. Then, click 'Synaptic Package Manger.' Click 'Search' and type 'Likewise' into the 'Search' box. Check the box next to the listing for 'Likewise' and then click 'Apply' to download and install the program.
2. Return to your desktop and click 'Applications.'
3. Click 'Internet.'
4. Click 'Likewise' to launch the software you installed in Step 1.
5. Type the name of the Windows domain you are trying to join into the box you see on screen.
6. Type the user name and password that was set by the domain administrator (if applicable).
7. Click 'Join.' Your Ubuntu computer will now be joined onto your Windows domain.
