How to Get Rid of a Webcrawler

1. Disable the webcrawler toolbar by clicking on 'View,' then 'Toolbars,' in your internet browser. De-select the webcrawler toolbar.
2. Exit your browser and click on 'Start Menu.' Select 'Control Panel' and 'Add/Remove Programs.'
3. Locate the webcrawler program and select it to be uninstalled. Click 'Uninstall.' Wait a moment while the program is uninstalled.
4. Click on 'Start' and 'Search.' Enter the name of the webcrawler program and click the 'Search' icon. If files related to the webcrawler program are found, delete them by highlighting them and either hitting the delete button on your keyboard or dragging them to the recycle bin.
5. Open your anti-virus program and run a full scan. Allow the scan to complete. Most updated anti-virus or anti-malware programs will detect webcrawler programs.
6. Select the option to delete any webcrawler files found during your anti-virus scan.
