How to Get the PlayStation Eye to Work on Skype
1. Unplug your PS3 Eye from your computer if it is connected.
2. Go to the Code Laboratories website and click the “CL Eye Platform Driver” download link.
3. Follow the instructions to begin your download and installation.
4. Connect your PS3 Eye’s USB plug into a USB port on your computer.
5. Click “No, not this time” when asked if Windows can search for the driver and then click “Next.”
6. Click “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)” when asked “What do you want the wizard to do?”. Click “Next.”
7. Click “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install” when promoted to choose your search and installation options, followed by clicking “Next.”
8. Click “PS3Eye Camera (x32)” when prompted to select which device driver that you want to install and then click “Next” followed by “Finish.”
9. Double-click the Skype icon on your computer to open Skype.
10. Click “Tools” from the menu bar and then select “Options.”
11. Scroll down and click “Video Settings” from the Options tab.
12. View the “Webcam” settings, select the “PS3 Eye Camera” option, and click “OK” to save the PS3 Eye Camera as your Skype webcam.
