1. Insert your Windows Vista disc into your DVD drive. Restart your computer.
2. When the 'Press any key to boot from CD' message appears on your screen, press a key. Wait for Windows Vista set-up to load.
3. Click 'Install Now.' Press 'Next' and press 'I accept' until you reach the screen that asks whether you want to perform an 'Upgrade Installation' or a 'Custom (advanced)' installation. Click 'Custom (advanced).'
4. Select your hard drive from the list. Click 'Drive options (advanced).' Select 'Format.' Windows Setup will format the drive.
