1. Start Windows Notepad.
2. Type in 'boot=/dev/hda,' press 'Enter,' 'map=/boot/map,' press 'Enter,' 'prompt,' press 'Enter,' 'timeout=05,' press 'Enter,' 'Default=Linux,' press 'Enter,' 'image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.12-20,' press 'Enter,' 'initrd=/boot/initrd-2.2.12-10.img', press 'Enter' and then 'root=/dev/hda1.' Click 'Save,' type 'LILO.conf' in the 'File Name' box and click 'OK.'
3. Download and install 'Ext2 Installable File System For Windows' program. Browse to the '/etc' directory of your Linux partition in the Windows Explorer.
4. Copy the 'LILO.conf' file you saved from Windows Notepad to the '/etc' directory of your Linux partition.
